Founded in 2009, ILL DOOTS jam session origins have since spawned over 8 studio projects and a raging live beast of a band featuring: an emcee, singer, bassist, drummer, keyboardist, guitarist and a host of frequent collaborators.
ILL DOOTS members’ diverse range of backgrounds and their shared musical consciousness shine through their exhilarating mix of hip hop elements with funk, jazz, rock & soul. Releasing on a range of different labels including Derrick Carter’s Persnickety All Stars, he has gained support from DJs such as Kerri Chandler (dropping “Everybody Rise” on his “Essential Mix – Live from Lovebox”), Laurent Garnier, Black Madonna, Maya Jane Coles & Dubfire among others. Between continuing his 5 year running party CLUB CONGRESS, fronting his nu label CLUBBY BOY & growing LIBERTY CLUB, a loft inspired function with Rich Medina, 2020 is looking to be an exciting year for the American producer.
